Red Hot Consulting is currently involved in establishing a UK based charity which will provide scholarships for orphan youngsters in India who cannot pursue their studies for financial reasons.

Most orphanages in India do not cater for children on reaching 15 years of age or 10 th standard in education. This means that they cannot obtain any qualifications, at 12 th standard they have the equivalent of “A” levels and can then go on to higher education.

For one year the costs of providing a place at college, textbooks, hostel accommodation and a moderate amount of pocket money is £25 per month or £300 per year.

Without this education these youngsters are destined for very low-level work, or no work and a life back on the streets.

Red Hot Consulting is currently working with an orphanage in Harippad, Kerala which supports 20 boys from 5-15 years and hopes to provide scholarships for each of these boys once they reach 10 th standard and have to leave the orphanage. This is about 2/3 boys per year and each scholarship will be for 2 or 3 years initially. It is a small start but we hope that we can build on this in the future.

5 % of turnover within Red Hot Consulting is allocated to this project.
